Afanat Afatinib 30mg Tablets

Afanat (Afatinib 30 mg Tablets) is a prescription medication used for the treatment of certain types of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Afatinib is a tyrosine kinase inhibitor that works by blocking the activity of proteins involved in the growth and spread of cancer cells.

Indications:

Afanat is indicated for the treatment of:

• First-line treatment of patients with metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) whose tumors have epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) exon 19 deletions or exon 21 (L858R) substitution mutations as detected by an FDA-approved test.
• Treatment of patients with metastatic squamous NSCLC progressing after platinum-based chemotherapy.

How to Use:

• Take Afanat exactly as prescribed by your healthcare provider.
• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water.
• Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet.
• It should be taken on an empty stomach, at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after eating.
• Follow your doctor's instructions regarding dosage and duration of treatment.
